Bohol, one of the the major island in Visayas, Central Philippines in Region VII. Sorrounded by beaches and home to many unique sites and sceneries, "Chocolate Hills" being the most popular one. It is also home to one of the most delightful sweet you can ever taste, The Peanut Kisses.
To make the most of their harvest, from their 2-hectare peanut farm. Carolina Alvarez Butalid developed the Peanut Kisses by mixing egg whites and peanuts. Though it is first experimented during World War II, it is only during the 60's the family decided to mass produce the product for public consumption.
With its more than 50 years of history, the Peanut Kisses is now a staple pasalubong and continously make every tourists take home piece of Boholanon's sweetness. This delicacy is like the Chocolate Hills in a box.
Though it is being manufactured in Tagbilaran City Bohol, it is not hard to find, for almost every vendor in Bohol offers Peanut Kisses. It is sold per box in retail, bundle or wholesale price. You can even find specialty store that offers this in Manila.
